Louise Busby
Louise’s interest in boating has led to commissions for Motor Boats Monthly as well as the Cruising Association’s magazine. She was the CA’s regional Almanac editor for the Netherlands, and has led an initiative to extend online availability of cruising information. Web editor for the Broom Owners Club, she previously worked for Europe’s No.1 marine website, www.ybw.com, and as Head of Marketing and Communications for Broom Boats. Over this period she has developed her interest and skills in photography, providing most of the images used in the book. In order to unlock the secrets of locally published cruising information, Louise acquired a working knowledge of the Dutch language, and this book includes a survival guide to its pronunciation and use.
