The fuel berth north of Leidschendam lock is now defunct although the chandlers on the quayside adjacent appears to be still in business. There are free moorings here on the east bank both north and south of the lock (max stay 3 days) with Aanuit electricity hookup available at some spots. There is also a small visitor harbour south of the lock although this is not very popular.
The visit to the De Salamander saw mill dating from 1794 -1900 comes highly recommended, open Wednesday and Saturdays between 12:00 – 16:00.
