Zeeland is a popular cruising ground for sailors and those who want to make a short trip from the UK. It is easily accessible from the French and Belgian coast or can be reached directly by a long crossing from the East coast. The large open lakes are popular with Dutch yachts especially at weekends and during July and August so expect queues at the locks at peak periods.
