On the Amstel, south of the N522 bridge, t’Jagerhuis is now the upmarket Brasserie Paardenburg, still with moorings with customers. Free 72 hour canalised moorings as well just south of this alongside Amstelzijde on the west bank.
Cafe Loetje is still there along with a selection of other restaurants, offering Indonesian, Indian and Peruvian cuisines. A foot and cycle ferry near the Loetje cafe takes you into the old village of Ouderkerk where you will find a small museum and VVV next to the old bakery on Kerkstraat, in operation since 1897.
Next to this the Kerkbrug is the entrance to the Bullewijk waterway with a daily operating lift bridge during the season, and another a little further on, the Jan Benningweg bridge where there are moorings at the WSV Ouder Amstel on the north side. A further 2km on is the fixed A9 bridge with an air draught of 4.8m. From here you can continue un-hindered to the Vinkeveense Plassen and connecting waterways.
